Why OPC Has an Amber Tint

Many users have approached us with the questions: “What gives OPC Reparative Serum its amber tint?” and “Why does the color seem to change from bottle to bottle?”

At Therapon Skin Health, we believe in using only the highest-quality ingredients to produce the best results for your skin. That’s why we take the time to use naturally occurring elements rather than synthetic blends when possible. These natural ingredients produce favorable results for our skin care users, but can sometimes cause variations in the way the final product looks.

OPC is harvested from a special French Maritime Pine bark using a process of steam and low pressure. This water extraction process avoids using harmful chemicals, making it safe for use on skin. The bark contains a high content of the active biological molecules of proantho cyanidins. These highly active antioxidant particles are preserved during their harvest, ensuring the active ingredient remains pure.

Each batch harvested will have a brownish-red tint which shows up in finished products containing the plant extract. Separate batches may be slightly darker or lighter depending on the color of the pine bark that was used. This is why a finished product of OPC may vary in color slightly. The activity potential is always the same regardless of color.

Theraderm OPC Reparative Serum is the perfect antioxidant product to add to your skin care routine.
