One of fall’s hottest new trends is the infinity scarf — or the circular scarf. I much prefer this style scarf to the more traditional ones with the long tails hanging down to get caught in the dishwasher door every time you bend over to put in a dirty cup . . . or is that just me?

Don’t answer that.

Any-WHO. My latest obsession in fashion accessories is the infinity scarf. It’s an easy and inexpensive way to add a burst of color or texture to a plain outfit. I picked up my first one just the other day when I was shopping with a friend at a Factory Outlet Mall nearby, and I’m hooked.

Depending on how long it is, you can wear it long, loop it twice or even thrice — an effect that looks much like a cowl neck. Mine is not very long, as you can see, so I either wear it long, or looped around twice. A longer scarf you could wear looped around three times.

Another way to wear it is like a shrug.

Gads, who needs a makeup touch up?? Anyway, wouldn’t that be too cute over a dress?

Here are a few more infinity scarves to whet your appetite.

Now that you know how to wear an infinity scarf, my only other advice is to choose a color that is flattering to your skin tone.

I don’t know about you, but I feel a shopping trip in my near future!
