Anyone else think Anne Hathaway was stunning last night?  Her look was amazing and the glow on her face?  Impressive!  Want to know how to get that glow?  I have listed a few suggestions below:

  • Antioxidants. Lots of them. Foods rich in vitamin C such as strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, broccoli, oranges, papaya, and sweet potatoes. These antioxidant rich and yummy tasting foods all help produce collagen which strengthens and firms your skin.
  • Essential Oils. Make sure you get enough omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids. You can find omega-3 in oily fish, as well as in plant sources like linseed and flax oil. For omega-6 try safflower, sunflower and corn oils. These oils lubricate your skin and give it a healthy supple glow.
  • Water.  Again, Lots of it! Drink plenty of water to re-hydrate your skin – aim for eight glasses a day. Tea, coffee and juices do count, but for really great skin stick to plain water.
  • Exfoliate.  Regularly.  My personal favorite is an enzyme peeling gel that doesn’t use harsh abrasives to remove the layer of dead skin that makes your skin look dull.  NuPeel Natural Enzyme Peel is the one I reach for week after week!  It’s gentle and if I need to use it more than once a week -it’s completely safe to do so!

These tips should help you get your glow on – just like Anne Hathaway did at the Golden Globes!  Speaking of Golden Globes…..what did you think about the winners?
