A Little Sparkle Makes All The Difference

Do you ever feel just “hum drum”? Boring? Out of touch? Or {gasp} unfashionable?

Let’s admit it, we have have those days…or even weeks. Sometimes it’s just that we got into a rut. Sometimes the “busyness” of life gets in the way. Sometimes we just forget that a girl needs to shine! Remember Sara Crewe in “The Little Princess”? She screamed out, “I am a princess. All girls are. Even if they live in tiny old attics. Even if they dress in rags, even if they aren’t pretty, or smart, or young. They’re still princesses. All of us.”

How often we forget.

Too often.

But what if we just added a little bit of sparkle. A little bit of glitter to our everyday lives. I don’t care if you never leave the house. You WILL feel better. I promise.

This product I use EVERY day. Yes EVERY day. Not only does it make my eye shadow go on like buttah…but when you wear it alone, it adds just a tiny bit of sparkle! It’s not cheap…butit lasts a really long time!

It’s called Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion (I like the potion part, makes me feel a little like Hermione in Harry Potter!) You can buy it online, or at a store like Ulta. Truly LOVE!

Another product I became addicted to this summer was “Shimmer Lotion”, I may possibly have been the only mother at baseball games with glittery shoulders…but therein my point..I didn’t care, I felt girly and pretty. There are lotions and body mists. Pick a scent…spray it on or rub it in…you will SHINE! Bath & Body Works makes this mist in Sweet Pea…I just love that scent. Talk about feminine and sexy!

But maybe you’re feeling a bit more sensual. Maybe NOW you want to get out and show you’re new found sexy self. How about Body Glitter…yeah, you heard me right. It’s the real deal. And it’s HAWT! Ulta carries this in their online store in TONS of colors…pick your fav!

And there are the days you just need to “get your sparkle on” and go all out. I bought this tank at Target for under $20. Sparkle is in. You can find something similar ANYWHERE in ANY price range. Wear it on a date, or to a party…shoot, wear it to the grocery store. I dare you! Just don’t wear it walking down the street on a Sunday in Asheville, NC with a short skirt and high heels. Trust me!
